Job summary

Jotun U.A.E. Ltd. (L.L.C.) in Dubai seeks a skilled Coating Advisor to provide on-site technical guidance, coating inspections and project support, ensuring coatings meet specifications and customer satisfaction.

With 6+ years in paints and coatings, offshore experience, and relevant certifications, you will work under the Technical Service Team Leader, travel as needed, and contribute to high-quality project outcomes while upholding Jotun’s safety and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within paints and coatings, corrosion protection, offshore and infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with experience in PFP or Intumescent coatings.
• NACE level II or FROSIO Level 3.
• Fluency in English - both verbal and written.
• Marine projects and reporting experience is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence (UAE preferable).
• Availability to travel abroad based on project needs.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in relevant field.

Job description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As Coating Advisor in our Technical Service team, you will provide professional technical advice to our customers, by on-site support on paint application and inspections to ensure that the coating specification is met, and the job is completed according to the contract and the customer's satisfaction.

This position is based in Dubai and reports to the Technical Service Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Advising customers, contractors and applicators on surface preparation and paint application - Coating inspections and advisory.
• Monitoring projects to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Preparing technical inspection reports and project documentation.
• Troubleshooting coating-related challenges and recommending practical solutions.
• Supporting sales colleagues with technical expertise before, during and after project execution.
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with Jotun's HSE standards and procedures.
