Job summary

NMDC Dredging & Marine seeks a junior coastal engineer to support engineering analyses and coastal design tasks in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on understanding coastal processes, met-ocean forcing, and accessibility to standard modelling tools.

You will work with senior engineers to develop wave and shoreline studies, assist with drawings, and prepare engineering reports and presentations using Microsoft Office. A 1–2 year background in a related role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Coastal preferred).
• Master's in Coastal Engineering is advantageous.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role and industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of coastal engineering and modelling applications.
• Understand coastal processes and met-ocean forcing with wave propagation.
• Specialize in hydrodynamic and beach modelling.
• Assist with drawings and draftsman support.
• Gain skills in beach design and artificial beaches specifications.
• Assist with numerical modelling and pre/post processing tasks.
• Develop ability to write reports and prepare presentations using MS Office.
