Job Description

This role involves operating CNC routers, preparing cutting files, ensuring precision machining, and supporting the smooth production workflow for custom joinery, furniture, and interior fit‑out components.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CNC machines by setting up tools, calibrating routers, selecting correct bits, and ensuring the machine is ready for production.
• Prepare cutting files using CAD and 3D software, checking tool paths, dimensions, and compatibility with shop drawings.
• Operate CNC routers to cut MDF, plywood, solid wood, and other joinery materials according to production plans.
• Perform machining tasks such as routing, drilling, carving, shaping, and nesting of joinery components.
• Read and understand shop drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications provided by the design team.
• Inspect finished components to ensure correct dimensions, clean edges, and compliance with quality standards.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of cutting tasks.
• Maintain daily production records including machine usage, tool changes, and output quantities.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE and safe machine handling.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a UAE joinery or fit‑out factory.
• Ability to manage the full detailing‑to‑production workflow from technical drawings to CNC output.
• Experience with CNC routers and nesting software.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other CAD tools; advantage if experienced with 3D modelling or design software.
• Knowledge of edge banding, routing, carving, shaping, and nesting techniques used in joinery production.
• Understanding of joinery materials and machining techniques, including types of wood, cutting tools, and CNC feeds and speeds.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings accurately.
• Attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements

Currently based in the UAE and willing to work in Umm Al Quwain.
