Job summary

First Orion is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and evolve the infrastructure that powers our products across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

You will own deployment pipelines, design containerized infrastructure with Docker/Kubernetes/Helm, and work with Gradle and Bitbucket Pipelines to deliver reliable software at scale. This role can be based in Dubai or the UK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid deployments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain deployment pipelines across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Design and manage containerized infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Build, improve, and support CI/CD workflows using Gradle and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Ensure platform deployments are reproducible, consistent, and cloud-agnostic.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage secrets and secure platform access using Vault.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support deployment activities across environments.
• Partner closely with software engineers to improve deployment processes, platform reliability, and developer experience.
• Drive automation efforts to reduce operational overhead and increase deployment consistency.
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions and infrastructure best practices.
