Job summary

Al Tadawi Healthcare Group is seeking a hospital pharmacist to dispense and review medications, support clinicians with drug-related information, monitor therapy, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

You will review orders, dispense accurately, counsel patients, participate in rounds, and help manage inventory and formulary processes while maintaining rigorous documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
• Valid DHA pharmacist license/registration.
• Knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmaceutical calculations, medication safety, and drug interactions.
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy policies, regulatory requirements, and infection-control procedures.
• Good communication, clinical reasoning, documentation, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify physician medication orders and prescriptions.
• Dispense inpatient and outpatient medications accurately.
• Conduct medication reconciliation and identify medication discrepancies.
• Monitor drug therapy for efficacy, safety, interactions, contraindications, and adverse drug reactions.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, dosage, administration, precautions, and side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and patient-care rounds.
• Maintain accurate medication profiles and pharmacy documentation.
• Manage controlled medications and maintain appropriate records.
• Monitor medication storage, inventory, expiry dates, and stock levels.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship and rational drug use.
• Assist with formulary management and medication-use evaluations.
• Follow hospital infection-control, medication-safety, and quality-assurance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
• Participate in pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reaction reporting, and medication-error prevention.
• Support staff training and continuing professional development.
