Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver classroom lessons that encourage students to participate, learn confidently, and achieve strong outcomes.
- Organise learning resources, classroom displays, and teaching materials that support an engaging learning environment.
- Prepare sessions that meet curriculum expectations while supporting the full range of student abilities.
- Use creative and inclusive teaching methods to motivate pupils and strengthen classroom engagement.
- Observe, assess, and record student development in line with school assessment procedures.
- Take responsibility for class progress and use assessment data to guide planning, intervention, and student support.
- Provide constructive feedback to parents and carers during Parent Teacher Conferences and school meetings.
- Reflect on classroom provision, student progress, and lesson impact to improve future teaching.
- Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and support professionals when required.
- Embed Teacher and Learner DNA values, language, and positive learning attitudes across the curriculum.
- Build respectful relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Support school expectations for high-quality learning, student wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous classroom teaching experience in Cycle 2, Cycle 3, upper primary, middle school, or American curriculum education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning, lesson delivery, student assessment, and classroom differentiation.
- Ability to support mixed-ability learners through structured, imaginative, and inclusive teaching.
- Confident communication skills for working with pupils, parents, teachers, school leaders, and support professionals.
- Professional approach to safeguarding, student wellbeing, assessment records, and school policies.
- Ability to use assessment systems such as Target Tracker to monitor progress and improve planning.
- Positive and flexible attitude toward teamwork, reflective teaching, and school improvement.
- Commitment to collaboration, leadership, creativity, high expectations, and student-centred learning.
- Genuine appreciation of UAE school values, cultural awareness, and the wider education environment.
