Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver classroom lessons that encourage students to participate, learn confidently, and achieve strong outcomes.
• Organise learning resources, classroom displays, and teaching materials that support an engaging learning environment.
• Prepare sessions that meet curriculum expectations while supporting the full range of student abilities.
• Use creative and inclusive teaching methods to motivate pupils and strengthen classroom engagement.
• Observe, assess, and record student development in line with school assessment procedures.
• Take responsibility for class progress and use assessment data to guide planning, intervention, and student support.
• Provide constructive feedback to parents and carers during Parent Teacher Conferences and school meetings.
• Reflect on classroom provision, student progress, and lesson impact to improve future teaching.
• Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and support professionals when required.
• Embed Teacher and Learner DNA values, language, and positive learning attitudes across the curriculum.
• Build respectful relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
• Support school expectations for high-quality learning, student wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous classroom teaching experience in Cycle 2, Cycle 3, upper primary, middle school, or American curriculum education is preferred.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, lesson delivery, student assessment, and classroom differentiation.
• Ability to support mixed-ability learners through structured, imaginative, and inclusive teaching.
