Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils and small groups both inside and outside the classroom during the school day
• Help students participate fully in learning activities while supporting their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and help monitor student progress
• Support pupils with additional learning needs including emotional and behavioural challenges
• Help students develop positive social skills and confidence within the school environment
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records and updating classroom documentation
• Prepare and present displays of students' work to support learning and celebrate achievement
• Support teachers with photocopying, classroom preparation, and other daily teaching assistance tasks
• Follow school policies related to health and safety, safeguarding, and student welfare
• Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals when required

Ideal Profile

• Minimum secondary school certificate is required
• At least 2 years of experience working in a school environment
• Strong English language skills or proficiency in the language used within the school curriculum
• Previous experience supporting children in a classroom or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and parents
• Positive attitude with patience, empathy, and strong teamwork skills
• Professional approach to safeguarding and student wellbeing
