Job summary

IRTH Group seeks an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer focused on steel structure works to supervise quality across construction sites. You will inspect fabrication, erection and installation, review ITPs and QC documents, and ensure compliance with drawings and UAE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience in building or civil projects with steel works.
• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication, erection, welding inspection, bolted connections, alignment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and industry codes.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations and international codes (ACI, AWS, ASTM).
• Certifications such as CSWIP, AWS welding inspection, BGAS are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect civil and structural activities with a focus on steel fabrication, erection, installation, bolting and welding.
• Review and verify ITPs, method statements, QC procedures and inspection checklists for civil and steel works.
• Witness and verify site and lab testing: concrete, reinforcement, welding, torque checks and related tests.
• Identify non-conformities and quality risks through routine site inspections.
• Review QA/QC documentation: MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, certificates, welding reports, test reports, as-built drawings.
• Maintain inspection records and quality reports and support site observations.
• Prepare quality status reports and highlight deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Participate in quality meetings, progress reviews and site inspections with stakeholders.
