Job summary

Gulf Contractors Company in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead supplier sourcing and commercial negotiations for infrastructure projects. You will prepare technically sound quotations, drive supplier selection, and support the project team through submittals and approvals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least five years in procurement management within the infrastructure sector, with demonstrated negotiation and supplier management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement management within the infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• Send inquiries to potential suppliers and collect quotations.
• Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Prepare comparison sheets and obtain approval from the procurement committee to select the supplier.
• Issue and send confirmation letters and LPOs to the selected supplier for materials submission and consultant approval.
• Support the project team by following up with suppliers on material submittals.

Key Responsibilities

Your tasks and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to

• Send inquiries to potential suppliers and collect quotations in accordance with project requirements
• Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers
• Prepare comparison sheets and obtain approval from the procurement committee to select the most suitable supplier
• Issue and send confirmation letters LPOs to the selected supplier enabling them to submit materials to the relevant project for consultant approval
• Support the project team by following up with suppliers on material submittals as needed

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement management within the infrastructure sector
