Job summary

KEO Group in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Civil Inspector (Hardscape) to join our team on a major landscape and infrastructure project. You will oversee on-site inspection, review drawings, and ensure compliance with contract requirements while maintaining thorough site records.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant experience, including large-scale landscape works and Dubai-based projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of work experience in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience on large-scale landscape-related projects.
• Dubai-based project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take timely action.
• Review shop drawings against contract drawings, codes, and project specs.
• Report non-conformances to stakeholders and ensure corrective actions.
• Monitor quality and safety at site, ensuring compliance with specs and risk assessments.
• Maintain daily on-site records with progress photos for audits.
• Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies and NCRs as needed.
• Coordinate between related disciplines to ensure smooth execution.
• Provide technical input to resolve on-site discipline issues.
• Support project team with site coordination and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Civil Inspector (Hardscape) to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Checking and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
• Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 7 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

• Proven experience in large-scale landscape related projects.
• Experience in Dubai based projects.
