Job summary

KEO International Consultants in Dubai, UAE seeks an Architectural Inspector to ensure architectural plans, codes, and safety standards are followed on-site for high-rise projects. The role involves inspecting contractor work, reviewing shop drawings, and reporting deviations to stakeholders.

The candidate will monitor quality and health and environmental aspects on site, maintain records, and coordinate activities across disciplines, contributing to project success with strong UAE high-rise

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience (as implied by seniority)
• Experience on high-rise building projects in the UAE
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

Responsibilities

• Attend Inspection Requests (IRs) and take timely action
• Review shop drawings against contract drawings, specs, local codes and international best practice
• Report works not in accordance with drawings/specifications to stakeholders
• Monitor quality and site safety, ensuring compliance with contract specs and safety risk assessments
• Maintain daily site records and progress photos for inspection
• Prepare surveillance and non-conformance reports when needed
• Coordinate between disciplines and provide technical input to resolve site issues

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Architectural Inspector to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.

This position is responsible for ensuring the project aheres to the architectural plans, building codes and regulations and safety standards by conducting on-site inspections.

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholdersfor appropriate action.
• Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuringcompliance withcontractual / QCS specifications andsafety and health risk assessments.
• Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site andnon conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor degree in relevant discipline. Candidates should have experience working on high-rise building projects in the UAE.
