Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled Civil Engineer to lead civil, structural and geotechnical aspects of solar PV and BESS projects. You will oversee site assessments, conceptual layouts, detailed designs and construction oversight to ensure safe, cost-effective and compliant civil works.

Responsibilities include supervising piles, foundations, concreting, field tests and QA/QC, while enforcing HS&E standards across all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 8-12 years of site execution experience, with at least 2 years of direct field execution on utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor layout installation and load-testing pull-out tests of piles for solar racking and tracking systems.
• Direct reinforcement formwork and concrete pouring for heavy equipment foundations including BESS containers, inverters and transformers.
• Conduct field inspections and witness tests for soil compaction, concrete slump cube tests, pile alignment, against QA/QC plan.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental protocols across all civil execution activities.
