Job summary

Confidential, based in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead road, footpath and infrastructure works on a live project. You will supervise construction activities, review drawings, ensure safety and adherence to specifications, and report progress to the Project Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with practical site experience, attested documents, and UAE Certificate of Equivalency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Experience in road construction, footpaths and infrastructure works.
• Experience dealing with municipalities, inspectors, NOCs, approvals and site inspections.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, site execution, documentation and safety.
• UAE Certificate of Equivalency is mandatory; attested documents required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and follow up on road construction, footpath and civil works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and follow up on road construction, footpath, and associated civil works.
• Monitor site execution and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
• Review drawings and coordinate construction activities at site.
• Coordinate and follow up NOCs, permits, approvals, inspections, and related documentation.
• Liaise professionally with municipality inspectors and relevant authorities regarding ongoing contracts and site activities.
• Coordinate with the concerned Contracts/Contract Affairs teams regarding ongoing contractual matters and requirements.
• Follow up daily site activities, progress, inspections, and outstanding matters.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and site safety requirements.
• Prepare progress updates, site reports, and other required documentation.
• Report directly to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Support the timely execution and completion of assigned project sectors and work fronts.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant practical experience in road construction, footpaths, and infrastructure works.
• Experience dealing with municipalities, inspectors, NOCs, approvals, and site inspections.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, site execution, documentation, and safety requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Degree and educational documents must be duly attested.
• UAE Certificate of Equivalency is mandatory.
• A valid Engineering Association/Society membership card is preferred.
