Job summary

Enova by Veolia is seeking an experienced civil/fit-out engineer to oversee the lifecycle of fit-out projects from client brief through handover. You will collaborate with engineers to develop plans, assess structural and MEP conditions, and produce detailed drawings using BIM when needed.

You will supervise subcontractors, monitor budgets and schedules, and conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role within the fit-out construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete life cycle of assigned fit-out projects, from initial client brief to final handover.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop fit-out plans considering codes and client requirements.
• Analyze building conditions including structural elements and MEP systems for feasibility.
• Prepare construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings; use BIM where applicable.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractor work, ensuring adherence to plans, budget and schedule.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, resolve quality issues, and ensure safety compliance.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, identify and mitigate risks.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on trends in fit-out, including sustainable practices.

The role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of civil and structural elements within facilities to ensure safety, functionality, and longevity of assets. The position supports the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives within the facilities management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete life cycle of assigned fit-out projects, from initial client brief to final handover.
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop and implement comprehensive fit-out plans, considering space utilization, building codes, and client requirements.
• Analyze existing building conditions, including structural elements and MEP systems, to determine feasibility and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for fit-out work, utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) software when applicable.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to plans, budget, and schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in aa engineering role within the fit-out construction industry.
