Job summary

aasa Group is seeking a senior civil engineer to lead and supervise civil construction activities for wet utility projects in the UAE, including sewerage, drainage and water pipelines. You will manage excavation, pipe laying, manholes, backfilling and reinstatement while ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements and authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 12-15 years of experience in civil construction projects.
• 5+ years of experience in substation projects mandatory.
• UAE / GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise civil construction activities for wet utility projects including sewerage, drainage, and water pipeline works.
• Manage excavation, trenching, pipe laying, manholes, chambers, backfilling, and reinstatement activities.
• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and authority requirements.
• Prepare and implement daily, weekly, and monthly construction plans to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
• Manage site engineers, foremen, and workforce to achieve productivity and project targets.
• Monitor site progress, manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and material consumption.
• Ensure quality control, inspections, testing, and approvals are completed as per project requirements.
• Review construction methodologies, shop drawings, and resolve technical issues at site.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, safety procedures, and site regulations.
• Prepare site reports and provide regular updates to the project management team.
