Job summary

Enova by Veolia in Abu Dhabi seeks a Mechanical Engineering professional to lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of chiller systems, chilled water plants, and district cooling facilities. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize reliability and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, energy management initiatives, commissioning support, and mentoring technicians, with emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of centrifugal and screw chillers, chilled water plants – Air Cooled and Water Cooled, or district cooling facilities.
• Preference for candidates with experience working with Chiller OEMs (e.g., OEM service teams or authorized service providers).
• Knowledge of HVAC and district cooling industry standards and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and related plant equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and best practices.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control faults affecting plant performance.
• Monitor plant performance parameters including efficiency, energy consumption, temperatures, flow rates, and pressures.
• Coordinate major overhauls, shutdowns, and maintenance activities with internal teams, OEMs, and contractors.
• Ensure proper operation of Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, and plant control systems.
• Support energy optimization, plant efficiency assessments, and lifecycle asset planning.
