Job summary

AtkinsRalis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Abu Dhabi to design and optimize District Cooling Systems, CHW networks, and associated HVAC and piping systems. You will prepare specifications, evaluate bids, and review submittals while coordinating with OEMs and subcontractors.

The role requires extensive experience with DCP equipment selection, piping stress analysis (Caesar II), and adherence to ASME B31.1/31.3 codes. Fluency in English is essential for project communications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 58 years of related experience in DCP equipment selection, material submittal review and DCP layout design.
• Preference for candidates with GCC experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage District Cooling Systems (DCP) including plant and chilled water (CHW) networks.
• Design HVAC systems, firefighting and plumbing systems for DCPs.
• Prepare equipment scope specifications and bid evaluations for OEMs.
• Review and approve piping layouts, submittals and piping stress analyses.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, subcontractors and vendors.
