About the Role:
We are seeking a visionary and results‑driven Chief Information Officer to lead our group's technology strategy. The CIO will drive digital transformation, oversee all IT operations and projects, and align technology investments with business objectives across the group. This is a senior executive role requiring strategic thinking, strong leadership, and deep technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Master's degree (MBA or MSc IT/MIS) strongly preferred
- PMP certification (preferred)
- CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification (preferred)
- ITIL Foundation or higher (preferred)
- ISO 27001 / ISO 9001 awareness or lead auditor certification
- Valid UAE driving licence (preferred; required)
- 15 years of progressive IT experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Present IT project benefits and risks to the board of directors and executive leadership.
- Oversee vendor, contractor and service provider relationships from technology selection through full project lifecycle within budget and timelines.
- Conduct periodic IT risk and compliance audits; present threat assessments and control improvement plans to management.
- Ensure key management reports and dashboards are fully automated with document management workflows to eliminate manual paperwork.
- Manage all IT projects (applications and infrastructure) end‑to‑end ensuring timely delivery, cost control and post‑go‑live knowledge transfer.
- Prepare and present annual IT budgets with ROI analysis; follow through on approved technology upgrades and solutions.
- Identify and migrate suitable applications to the cloud, reducing on‑premises hardware and operational costs.
- Revamp the group’s web presence and social media platforms to enhance customer engagement and lead conversion.
- Enforce IT service SLAs for all internal and external stakeholders in line with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align IT initiatives with broader business and financial goals.
- Lead, manage and develop the IT department; build team capability for the next stage of growth.
- Develop and oversee the IT budget maintaining the 25 % technology vs 75 % HR cost balance.
- Plan, deploy and maintain IT systems, infrastructure and operations across the group.
- Manage the organisation’s software development needs and delivery pipeline.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures and best practices group‑wide.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and IT trends; apply relevant innovations to the business.
- Ensure IT strategies and processes actively support company‑wide goals.
- Maintain ISO compliance and ensure adherence to applicable government regulations on systems operations.
- Champion paperless digital‑first operations across the group.
