We are supporting an Abu Dhabi government entity in the appointment of a Chief Technology Officerto lead the organisation’s enterprise-wide technology, data, digital, and AI agenda.
This is a critical executive leadership role responsible for defining and executing a forward-looking technology strategy, driving large-scale digital transformation, and embedding advanced data and AI capabilities to enhance organisational performance, innovation, and service delivery.
The CTO will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure that technology investments are aligned with national priorities, organisational objectives, and global best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the long-term strategy across technology, digital, data, and AI, ensuring alignment with organisational and national transformation agendas
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on emerging technologies, innovation, and digital trends
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, including system modernisation, platform integration, and process optimisation
- Develop and implement enterprise data and AI strategies, enabling advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organisation
- Establish and oversee robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance
- Drive the responsible and scalable adoption of advanced technologies, ensuring clear business value and measurable outcomes
- Define success metrics and oversee performance tracking across all technology and transformation initiatives
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government entities, technology providers, and external stakeholders
- Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, risk, and information governance standards across all technology platforms
Candidate Profile
- 10–12 years of experience in technology, digital, or data leadership roles, with significant exposure at a senior or executive level
- Strong experience in enterprise technology strategy, AI implementation, and data-driven transformation
- Expertise in data governance, analytics, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence at leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Professional certifications in technology, data, or AI disciplines are advantageous
