Job summary

Rotana Hotels in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a dynamic Chief Steward to assist the Stewarding Manager in upholding the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards across all food preparation and service areas. The role requires leadership of the stewarding team to ensure smooth operation and compliance with safety policies.

Based at Al Jaddaf Rotana Suite Hotel, you will supervise staff, manage par stocks and storerooms, coordinate with F&B and outlet managers, monitor sanitation, and help

Responsibilities

• Provide functional assistance and direction and be responsible for the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation
• Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operation and costs
• Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of product and services
• Check more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories
• Coordinate with the Stewarding Manager in establishing minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition
• Co-ordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day
• Maintain health inspection record, attendance record and file on casual employees
• Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware

We are currently looking for dynamic, and self motivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist to organize and direct a team that develops top quality of food & beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalized service.

This position is based at Al Jaddaf Rotana Suite Hotel.

As a Chief Steward you are responsible to assist the Stewarding Manager to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
