Job summary

Barclay Simpson is recruiting a Chief Risk Officer in Abu Dhabi to lead the risk strategy across a multi-line insurance business, including general, reinsurance, life and health. You will develop and implement an advanced ERM framework aligned with corporate objectives, oversee risk governance, and partner with senior management to drive performance and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Risk Committee.

Job description

A leading Middle East insurance business requires a Chief Risk Officer to join them to lead the development of their risk strategy. They operate across multiple business lines covering general insurance and re-insurance along with life and medical. Alongside the general management of the risk function you will work closely with senior management to develop a sophisticated ERM framework that aligns with their business objectives and enhances their performance and compliance.

This is a key senior executive role that will report to a Risk Committee. The role requires extensive experience of leading a risk function of a multi-line insurance business and strong management and communication skills.
