Job summary

Credo Talent Solutions is seeking a Director – Health & Safety in Abu Dhabi to lead the organisation’s safety strategy, governance, and performance across all operations and facilities.

The role requires embedding safety into business decisions, major projects, and day-to-day activities, with accountability for risk management and regulatory compliance in the UAE. Strong leadership and a track record across large, complex environments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.
• Professional H&S qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma strongly preferred.
• ISO 45001 knowledge or certification advantageous.
• 12–15+ years of progressive H&S experience in a senior role.
• Experience in large, complex or high-risk organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation-wide Health & Safety strategy and governance.
• Ensure compliance with UAE H&S laws and regulatory requirements.
• Embed H&S into projects, procurement, and operations.
• Drive a proactive safety culture with leadership ownership.
• Oversee audits, inspections, and regulatory engagement.
• Lead investigations into serious incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Provide executive reporting on safety performance and risks.
