Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Finance Leader in Abu Dhabi to report to the Managing Director. You will oversee the Finance Function with 20-25 team members, drive financial strategy, governance, and risk management across the organization.

You will ensure IFRS, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, lead budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical support to the Board and Executive team for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of combined experience in finance and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, treasury, accounting, taxation, audit, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Provide analysis and insights to support board decisions.
• Monitor KPIs with dashboards and variance analysis; recommend actions.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, inventory, and financing strategies.
• Evaluate investments, market expansion, and new brands through financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Establish internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure IFRS, UAE VAT, corporate tax and statutory compliance across the group.
• Review financial statements and management reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive ERP enhancements, process improvements, and reporting efficiency.
• Engage with banks, auditors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Develop cost optimization while safeguarding growth and operations.
• Act as strategic advisor to the Board and Executive Management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance Team; set objectives and KPIs.
• Promote accountability, integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Procurement to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Company's business objectives and growth plans.
2. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, accounting, taxation, audit, compliance, and financial reporting activities.
3. Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and insights to support Board and management decision-making.
4. Monitor business performance through financial KPIs, dashboards, and variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
5. Oversee cash flow management, working capital, inventory investment, and financing strategies to optimize financial performance.
6. Evaluate investment opportunities, new fragrance brands, market expansion, and business initiatives through financial analysis and risk assessment.
7. Establish and maintain financial policies, internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory requirements, and other applicable regulations.
9. Review and approve financial statements, management reports, and financial performance reviews.
10. . Drive finance process improvements, ERP enhancements, automation, and reporting efficiency.
11. Manage relationships with banks, auditors, financial institutions, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
12. Develop cost optimization strategies while maintaining operational effectiveness and business growth.
13. Act as a strategic financial advisor to the Board and Executive Management Team.
14. Participate in corporate strategy development, business planning, and expansion initiatives.
15. Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Team to achieve operational excellence.
16. Establish departmental objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
17. Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
18. Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and other departments to improve business performance.
19. Support organizational transformation and growth initiatives through effective financial management.
20. Represent the Company in financial negotiations and executive-level discussions.
21. Support the development of strategic business plans and long-term financial objectives.
22. Lead financial evaluation of expansion projects, new markets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
23. Assess profitability of products, fragrance brands, distribution channels, and business segments.
24. Develop strategies to improve margins, cash flow, inventory efficiency, and shareholder value.
25. Evaluate financial risks related to international trading activities, foreign currency exposure, and market conditions.
26. Recommend improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence capabilities.
27. Ensure financial transparency and effective reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Years of Experience: At least 15 years of combined working experience in finance and accounting, with at least 7 years in Senior Leadership role

Minimum Education/ Designation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

Designations: ACCA, CA, CPA or its equivalent

Secondary Designations/ Masters: MBA, CMA, CIMA or its equivalent
