Job summary

métier - Strategic HR Solutions is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all accounting and finance activities, including IFRS reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis across the business in Dubai.

The role requires 6–10 years of progressive experience, ACCA/CPA/ACA, UAE tax knowledge, and strong leadership to drive scalable processes, controls, and strategic financial insights for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• ACCA/ACA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, incl. 2–4 years in leadership.
• Experience in Insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, Financial Services, or Technology sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modelling experience.
• Experience managing legal and contractual matters, including contract review and finalization.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance activities across the business, including AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis
• Monitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, and key business drivers
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, banking relationships, and payment processes
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures and coordinate annual audits
• Oversee legal and contractual matters alongside finance responsibilities, including the review and finalization of contracts and commercial agreements
• Partner with leadership and departmental teams on budgeting, cost management, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities
• Develop scalable finance processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency
• Support the implementation and optimization of finance systems, reporting tools, and KPI dashboards
• Lead and develop the finance team while ensuring strong financial governance, accuracy, and accountability

Requirements
