Job summary

Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras al-Khaimah seeks an exceptional Chief Engineer to lead the engineering operations across the property, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor the team, develop preventative maintenance plans, manage budgets, and drive energy efficiency while coordinating with Housekeeping, F&B, and Front Office to deliver guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading engineering in hospitality, commercial, or high-end environments.
• Strong knowledge of building services and infrastructure management.
• Proven track record in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and water systems.
• Experience supervising engineering teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering department with a focus on safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, preventative maintenance, and capital initiatives.
• Oversee all building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, BMS, life-safety).
• Manage budgets, cost control, energy and water optimization, and purchases.
