Job summary

We are seeking a Head of Electrical Engineering for a UAE-based engineering and advanced manufacturing group in Ras Al Khaimah. You will lead the electrical engineering and automation function, spanning ~30 staff and five direct reports, with responsibility for design, automation, software/hardware integration and project delivery.

The role requires a strong technical foundation in electrical design, PLC systems, and cross‑functional leadership across mechanical, software and production teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 8-10+ years of engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading engineering teams with accountability for people, resources and project delivery.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, power systems, industrial automation or advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary electrical engineering and automation department with ~30 staff and 5 direct reports.
• Develop managers, team leaders and specialists through coaching and performance management.
• Plan department capacity, allocate resources and manage priorities against project schedules.
• Provide oversight of electrical architecture, schematics, wiring, control-panels and engineering documentation (EPLAN).
• Oversee PLC-based automation with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell: Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
• Direct integration of electrical hardware, embedded electronics, sensors, actuators and software-driven control systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, production and procurement to ensure manufacturability and delivery.
• Establish design reviews, verification, testing and documentation controls.
• Lead resolution of complex technical and production challenges to maintain quality and delivery.
• Drive engineering process improvements and cross-functional communication.
