Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Cement Trader to bolster its Dry Freight Product team in Dubai. The role focuses on expanding trading operations for cement-related products and establishing strong relationships with suppliers and customers across LATAM and/or Africa.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of cement trading experience, a proven negotiations track record, and deep knowledge of LATAM/Africa markets. The position is based in Dubai with a focus on regional dynamics.

Qualifications

• Experience in cement, clinker, fly ash, gypsum or cementitious products trading.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations and client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of LATAM and/or Africa market dynamics and trade practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote and expand cement trading operations (clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash).
• Build and maintain relationships with cement suppliers and customers in LATAM and/or Africa.
• Analyze cement market trends, supply-demand, and pricing in LATAM/Africa.
• Lead negotiations for procurement and sales with favorable terms.
• Identify and mitigate risks in regional trading activities.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Promotion and expansion of trading operations, with a primary focus on cement-related products, including clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash etc.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with cement suppliers and customers across LATAM and/or Africa.
• Conduct thorough and continuous analysis of cement market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing strategies specific to LATAM and/or Africa.
• Lead negotiations for cement procurement and sales. Work diligently to secure favourable terms and conditions while navigating regional complexities, regulations, and cultural nuances.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with trading activities in these regions.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement / clinker /fly Ash / Gypsum or cementitious products trading.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship-building in the cement industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the regional market dynamics, regulatory environment, and trade practices in Latin America and/or Africa.
• Bring a valuable and transferable book of business that underscores a history of successful client relationships and revenue generation.
