Job summary

dt fin-con is seeking a part-time Category Manager for a remote role in the United Arab Emirates. You will analyze category performance, optimize opportunities, and support data-driven decisions related to procurement, partnerships, and sponsorships.

Daily tasks include market/competitor analysis, coordinating with student teams and external stakeholders, and negotiating contracts that align with the club's objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong Category Management skills, including planning, optimization, and lifecycle management for defined categories.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret data, perform market research, and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Experience or interest in Contract Negotiation with partners, sponsors, and vendors.
• Knowledge of Procurement processes, vendor selection, and cost management in an educational or club context.
• Exposure to Sales activities, such as stakeholder outreach, sponsorship acquisition, or promoting club events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities for part-time remote work alongside commitments.
• Background or studies in business, finance, consulting, or related fields; experience in student clubs is a plus.

Job description

Role Description The Category Manager role is a part-time, remote position responsible for managing and optimizing specific service or event categories within DT FIN-CON. The person in this role will analyze category performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support data-driven decisions related to procurement, partnerships, and sponsorships. Daily tasks include conducting market and competitor analysis, coordinating with student teams and external stakeholders, and negotiating contracts or agreements that align with the club's objectives. The Category Manager will also collaborate with the leadership team to shape category strategies, support budgeting and pricing decisions, and contribute to initiatives that enhance member experience and engagement.
