Job summary

Accor in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Cashier/Accounts Clerk to manage daily cash flows and ensure accurate recording of all transactions. You will prepare cash reports, perform counts, and support bank deposits and month-end closings.

The role requires 2–3 years in cash-handling or accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work under pressure with flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in a cash-handling or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of cash handling, reconciliation and banking controls.
• Good numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash collections, deposits and disbursements.
• Receive, verify and record cash and other payment transactions accurately.
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the Finance Department.
• Perform daily cash counts and reconcile physical cash with accounting records.
• Prepare bank deposits and ensure timely submission of funds.
• Maintain petty cash and process approved petty cash payments.
• Verify supporting documents and prepare cash payment vouchers.
• Monitor cash balances and report discrepancies or irregularities.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits with cash records.
