Job summary

Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Cargo Operations professional to manage shift-based tasks in the cargo warehouse. You will plan and oversee critical activities, routes and products, focusing on performance metrics such as OTP, Cargo IQ, and SLA targets.

The role requires hands-on experience in cargo handling, weight and balance, live animals, and dangerous goods, with at least three years in cargo operations.

Qualifications

• Educated to at least high school level with cargo handling specialization.
• Complete cargo and dangerous goods courses; live animals, weight and balance, and general cargo procedures.
• At least 3 years of cargo operations experience.
• Fully conversant with cargo handling processes, procedures and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee key activities in the cargo warehouse to meet OTP and SLA targets.
• Monitor inbound quality, validate weight/volume, and optimize connections to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with service providers to reduce discrepancies and improve capacity utilization.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance including PPE and proper cargo handling.
• Provide training and cross-skill staff to enhance competency and flexibility.
