Job summary

GEMS Education's School of Research & Innovation seeks an experienced Careers Guidance Counsellor to start in January 2027 in Dubai. You will support students individually or in groups, guiding career development and educational planning, while coordinating with universities and local employers to create opportunities.

Qualifications

• a minimum Bachelor degree in related discipline such as Psychology or Social Work.
• ideally a certificate, diploma or degree in career development or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• work with students individually or in groups to identify educational requirements and career plans
• facilitate career management workshops and build employability skills
• help students relate their interests and abilities to careers and education
• use assessment tools to guide career choices and training needs
• lead resume writing, interview skills and job-search workshops
• collaborate with local and international universities and employers
• provide labour market information to support decision making
• maintain records and perform related administrative tasks
