Job summary

Etihad Engineering in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Design Engineer who reports to the Engineering Manager to develop STCs, modifications, and technical solutions for aircraft. You will prepare engineering data and controlled documents in compliance with Part 145/21J DOA rules.

You will collaborate with CAD teams and external stakeholders to deliver certification packages on time, ensure alternatives meet airworthiness standards, and support AOG and repair efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in EASA/GCAA Part 145/21J or equivalent.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Experience with aircraft repairs and modifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop STCs, modifications, and engineering data in compliance with procedures.
• Provide technically accurate fault solutions and defects analysis.
• Produce certification packages and drawings for modifications.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to implement design changes.
• Ensure timely release of engineering instructions and support return to service.
• Maintain DOA/GCAA/FAA regulatory compliance.
