Job summary

Emirates Engineering Design Organisation in Dubai seeks an Engineering Design Officer to prepare design and substantiation data for changes and repairs on large aircraft, in line with EASA Part 21J and GCAA rules. You will develop 2D/3D CAD drawings and compile certification documentation for type certificates and inspections.

You will interpret OEM manuals and support modifications, coordinate with vendors and authorities, and ensure CS-25 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma (12+3) in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in aerospace, incl. at least 2 years supporting repairs/modifications for Transport Category aircraft.
• Experience with EASA Part 21J or GCAA CAR 21 Design Organisation holding Major Change/STC approval preferred.
• Wide-body aircraft experience, Emirates fleet types advantageous.
• Experience as Design Engineer or Draughtsperson preferred.
• Experience integrating cabin equipment within a Design Organisation environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and substantiation data for changes and repairs on large aircraft in accordance with regulatory requirements and the Emirates Design Organisation Handbook.
• Develop engineering drawings using 2D/3D CAD to support aircraft changes and repairs and compile documentation for type certificates and certifications.
• Interpret OEM data (aircraft manuals, parts catalogs, maintenance manuals) to support compliant modifications and repairs.
• Provide on-site support during implementation of aircraft changes and repairs, maintaining compliance checklists.
• Collaborate with vendors, MROs, authorities, and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.
• Liaise with Design Engineers and CVEs to ensure CS-25 and other certification basis compliance.
• Prepare design and compliance documentation for regulatory approval and OSData.
