Job summary

Bombardier is establishing a new Abu Dhabi Service Center at Al Bateen Executive Airport to support the regional MRO portfolio. The role requires relocation to Abu Dhabi, with UAE-based candidates considered and relocation not provided. UAE Nationals are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will manage parts and materials planning, forecasting, and procurement, ensuring timely availability to service customer aircraft and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment or equivalent.
• Training and equivalent experience with SAP system.
• Planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload across multiple projects.
• Interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with sales teams and departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• 5 years' experience in inventory planning and procurement (preferred).
• 5+ years' experience in inventory forecasting and analysis (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business, Inventory Management or related area (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely acquisition of parts and materials by planning and forecasting requirements.
• Locate and initiate purchase of materials, tools and components with suppliers.
• Expedite status of orders and purchase orders with suppliers and internal teams.
• Identify and schedule critical paths and assign priorities.
• Attend department meetings and represent the team.
• Interface with supervisors and other departments on material issues.
• Maintain shortage reports and communicate status to management.
• Create internal orders and documents to meet material needs.
• Provide information to adjust discrepant orders and cancel unreceived items.
• Create new part numbers for site-specific parts and send requests to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using system and manual filing.
• Order/reorder materials, tools, and GSE with aircraft delivery schedules.
• Identify alternate and superseded part numbers.

This position is based in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate must relocate and establish residence in Abu Dhabi. Please apply only if you are prepared to relocate and reside in Abu Dhabi.

This position is open to candidates currently based in the UAE; relocation support is not available.

In your role, you will

• Ensure the timely acquisition of parts and materials needed to service customer aircraft by planning and forecasting part and material requirements and coordinating acquisition with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel
• You will locate and initiate the purchase of materials, tools and components via communication with internal and external sources and suppliers
• You will expedite status of external and internal parts orders and purchase orders via communication with suppliers and inter-company operations
• You will identify and schedule critical paths and assign priorities
• You will attend meetings representing the department
• You will interface with Supervisors and Managers or other departments on critical material problems
• You will maintain shortage reports to track orders and communicate status to management
• You will create and issue internal orders and other applicable documents to meet parts and materials requirements
• You will provide information to adjust discrepant orders/exception messages and cancel line items not received or returned to stock as needed
• You will create new part numbers for site-specific parts used and send part number requests to internal suppliers
• You will maintain accurate inventory of transactions using computerized inventory and manual filing systems
• You will order and/or reorder materials, tools, and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules as required
• You will identify alternate and superseded part numbers

How to thrive in this role?

• You would typically have 5 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment or other demonstrated equivalent experience
• You have training & equivalent experience with SAP system
• You have planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting
• You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, outside counsel, and other departments
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office
• You would typically have 5-year experience in inventory planning and procurement (preferred)
• You would typically have 5 or more years’ experience in inventory forecasting and analysis (preferred)
