Job summary

Bombardier's Abu Dhabi Service Center is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician to maintain and repair Bombardier aircraft at our new facility on Al Bateen Executive Airport. Based in Abu Dhabi, relocation is not supported, and candidates must reside in the UAE.

The ideal candidate holds a GCAA or EASA Part-66 License (B2/C), is type-rated on Challenger/Global, has 5+ years of Bombardier experience, and is familiar with Part-M, Part-145, and Appendix I requirements.

Qualifications

• This role requires a GCAA and/or EASA Part-66 Aircraft Technician License (B2 and/or C).
• Type-rated on Bombardier Business Aircraft (Challenger/Global).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience on Bombardier Global and/or Challenger series.
• Working knowledge of Part-66 Appendix I, Part-M and Part-145 regulations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and maintains customer aircraft.
• Performs and documents work per manuals and regulations.
• Train, coach and support other employees.
• Perform complete engine runs as required.
• Sign off base maintenance tasks under supervision for airworthiness.
• Lead maintenance tasks and ensure standards are met.
• Travel to off-site locations as needed.

This center will offer advanced MRO capabilities and support the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio. This position is based in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate must relocate and establish residence in Abu Dhabi.

This position is open to candidates currently based in the UAE; relocation support is not available.

In your role, you will

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
• Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Be able to train, coach and support other employees
• Perform complete engine runs as required
• Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
• Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
• Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
• Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C
• Perform maintenance at off-site locations
• Assist when providing time estimates

As our ideal candidate,

• You hold an GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B2 and/or C
• You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
• You have operated as an experienced licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience of Bombardier Aircraft type i.e. Global &/or Challenger series
• You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
• You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
• You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
• You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
• You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
• You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
• You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
• You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
• Able to work in shifts and occasional night shifts ( if required).
• Able to travel for business needs on short notice
