Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior procurement professional to manage purchasing for large oil & gas EPC projects. You will operate under the Purchasing Coordinator and Head of Purchasing to handle inquiries, negotiations, and supplier relationships.

The role requires international experience in steel structures and piping, with a focus on timely procurement, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years purchasing experience in large oil & gas EPC projects.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with strong management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all purchasing activities under guidance of the Purchasing Coordinator and Head of Purchasing Department.
• Issue inquiries and negotiate economically and contract terms; prepare evaluations for project teams.
• Issue purchase orders and amendments; expedite PO acceptance by vendors.
• Support project procurement coordinators during supplies development when commercial problems arise.
• Demonstrate international purchasing experience, including steel structures and piping for oil & gas EPC projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and negotiate favorable commercial terms.

Duties and responsibilities

To carry out all thepurchasing activities, according to the indications and guidelines of purchasingcoordinator / Head of Purchasing Department, such as: float of inquiries, economicaland contractual negotiations, issue of economical evaluation to project teams,cooperate with project teams in highlighting main reasons of eventual extrabudgets and proposing mitigation actions, issue of purchase orders andfollowing Amendments, expediting of purchase order acceptance by vendors.

To support project procurementcoordinators during the development of the supplies in case of any commercialproblem.

International purchasingexperience.

Involvement in purchase ofsteel structure fabrication, piping bulk, and other oil and gas EPC projectpurchase experience.

Commercial terms andconditions negotiations.

Coordination crossfunctional team.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Bachelor’sDegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Atleast 8 years of relevant purchasing experience in construction of largeoil & gas plants / EPC projects.
