Job summary

Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a luxurious 5-star beachfront resort on Palm Jumeirah, is seeking a Butler Supervisor to lead the Butler team in delivering personalised guest services. You will coordinate VIP arrivals, preferences, and special in-room amenities, ensuring seamless collaboration with Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B.

The role requires supervisory experience in luxury hospitality, outstanding communication, and discretion to uphold Sofitel’s French art de vivre and Heartist culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in Butler or Front Office.
• Supervisory experience in five-star hotel or luxury resort is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Butler team to deliver personalized guest services.
• Handle guest requests, preferences, and special arrangements promptly.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals, departures, and in-room amenities.
• Maintain communications with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Concierge for seamless service.
• Monitor daily Butler operations, room assignments, guest profiles, and service standards.
• Conduct briefings, coaching, and training to maintain excellence.
• Address guest feedback and complaints professionally with timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, health and safety.
• Monitor room presentation and readiness of Butler service areas.
• Support Butler Manager in scheduling and performance monitoring.

• Supervise, guide, and support the Butler team in delivering exceptional and personalised guest services.
• Ensure all guest requests, preferences, and special arrangements are handled promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals, departures, special occasions, and personalised in-room amenities.
• Maintain close communication with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Monitor daily Butler operations, room assignments, guest profiles, and service standards.
• Conduct regular briefings, coaching sessions, and on-the-job training to maintain service excellence.
• Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally, ensuring timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, grooming guidelines, and health and safety procedures.
• Monitor the presentation, cleanliness, and readiness of guest rooms and Butler service areas in coordination with the relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate guest preference records and ensure confidentiality of guest information.
• Support the Butler Manager in team scheduling, performance monitoring, and operational planning.
• Promote Sofitel’s French art de vivre, Heartist culture, and commitment to creating memorable luxury experiences.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in Butler services or Front Office operations.
• Previous supervisory experience in a five-star hotel or luxury resort is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalised service with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages, particularly French or Arabic, are an advantage.
• Well-groomed, guest-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
