Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals per recipes or standards.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Follow all safety and security policies; report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period; lift up to 25 pounds.
