Job summary

Etihad Airways seeks an automation strategist for Airports & Ground Operations to lead the design, engineering, construction and delivery of automation solutions aimed at reducing manual interventions and raising productivity and quality.

The role involves coordinating with management, reporting progress, and delivering innovative proposals aligned with departmental goals while staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or relevant license/certification.
• Subject matter expert (SME) with proven knowledge in passenger handling operations and aviation processes.
• Experience in airport systems and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and delivery of Airports & Ground Operations automation strategies including collating, design, engineering, construction and delivery of automation solutions reducing manual intervention, raising productivity, consistency and quality.

Accountabilities

• Support Manager to collate, report and escalation automation project within Airports & Ground Operations resulting in manual intervention reduction of an overall 30%.
• Manage day-to-day operations of identifying, developing and building automation solutions as directed by Manager in reducing manual intervention using, but not limited to, Office365 applications raising productivity and consistency.
• Report to Manager any limitations in Airports & Ground Operations automated solutions and applications rolled out by the department.
• Responsible for completing projects related to departmental automated solutions within a specified time frame.
• Responsible for delivering effective professional innovative proposals to the department that is aligned to the overall departmental goals.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, best practices and innovative designs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Minimum Diploma or relevant license/certification.
• Subject matter expert (SME) with proven demonstrable sound knowledge and relevant industry experience in passenger handling operations, preferably gained through 4-6 years in an Above Wing or Ground Handling Operations role with an airline or ground handling agency.
• Demonstrable knowledge of airport systems and automation initiatives
