Job Description:

The Business Development & Trading Director will lead JOVAL’s Gulf operations, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding fuel suppliers, refineries, and terminal operators across the GCC. This position drives the company’s fuel supply flow into East Africa through co-loading and digital marketplace integration. The role demands high-level relationship management, deep market understanding, and strict adherence to compliance and trade finance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and onboard verified suppliers, refineries, and terminals across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Kuwait.
• Negotiate co-loading, consignment, and re-export agreements under CIF/FOB/CFR terms.
• Secure consistent supply volumes to meet digital marketplace demand targets.
• Manage supplier contracts and renewal cycles with transparency.
• Oversee daily fuel price tracking (Platts, Argus, Gulf benchmarks).
• Define pricing models for CIF/FOB/credit-linked transactions.
• Coordinate freight, insurance, and LC validation for each trade cycle.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain long-term refinery, trader, and storage partnerships.
• Represent JOVAL in GCC oil and gas exhibitions, B2B events, and regulatory forums.
• Facilitate collaboration between suppliers and JOVAL’s East African trading network.

Compliance & Trade Finance:

• Ensure all suppliers are fully verified (CR, VAT, COO, KYC, refinery license).
• Liaise with compliance team and banks to validate LC/SBLC instruments before transactions.
• Maintain a secure supplier database with inspection, certificate, and trade records.
• Monitor sanctions and ensure zero exposure to restricted entities.
• File weekly supplier compliance summaries to management.

Reporting & Coordination:

• Prepare weekly reports on supplier listings, volume commitments, and compliance status.
• Coordinate with Digital Operations manager to ensure listings meet documentation standards.
• Provide strategic input for pricing updates and risk adjustments.
