JOB PURPOSE

The Business Development Manager – Telecom is responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities within the UAE telecom sector, focusing on projects related to Huawei and Nokia and engaging with Etisalat and DU. The role drives revenue growth through client acquisition, key account management, tender participation, and coordination with technical and project teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in telecom infrastructure, rollout, optimization, and maintenance projects.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Etisalat, DU, Huawei, Nokia, and their approved contractors and vendors.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, proposal submission, negotiation, and closure.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.

Client & Account Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for telecom clients and OEM partners.
  • Maintain key accounts and ensure repeat business and long-term contracts.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and coordination sessions.

Tender & Proposal Management

  • Identify and participate in RFQs, RFPs, and tenders issued by Etisalat, DU, Huawei, and Nokia.
  • Coordinate with engineering and estimation teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Ensure timely submission of compliant and competitive bids.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor telecom market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects in the UAE.
  • Provide market feedback to management for strategic planning and service improvement.
  • Expand company presence in new telecom domains and technologies.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with project, finance, and operations teams for smooth project handover.
  • Follow up on invoicing, variations, and payments.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Business Administration.
  • 5–10 years UAE experience in telecom business development or sales.
  • Strong exposure to Etisalat, DU, Huawei, and Nokia projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • UAE driving license preferred.
