Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving the company’s growth in the electric vehicle (EV) sector by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening market presence in the UAE and wider GCC region. This role requires a dynamic professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing, mobility solutions, and sustainability trends, capable of positioning the company as a leader in the ultra-competitive EV industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across private and government sectors.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand market share for EV manufacturing and related solutions.
- Negotiate and manage high-value contracts, proposals, and tenders.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Growth
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, fleet operators, corporate clients, and distributors.
- Build strategic alliances with technology partners, suppliers, and infrastructure providers.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
Market Research & Intelligence
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team for new product and market development.
- Monitor EV regulatory frameworks and sustainability initiatives in the UAE and GCC.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to align business development goals with production capabilities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that enhance brand visibility and attract clients.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports to management.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–8 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably in automotive, EV, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of EV industry trends, government policies, and sustainability goals.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Strong network within the UAE/GCC automotive and mobility ecosystem is a plus.
