Business Development Executive (2 Roles)
PodcastHub is a Dubai media company that specialises in long-form content for creators, founders, brands and institutions across the GCC. Our studios are in Dubai Media City, DIFC and on Sheikh Zayed Road, and in three years of operation we have recorded more than 7,200 episodes.
Why this role exists
We want to give more people the chance to express themselves and be heard. That means creators with something to say, founders building a personal brand, companies with a story to tell and institutions that want to reach people. Some of them find us, and many more haven't thought of a podcast yet. We need people who can do both: look after the ones who come in and go out to find the rest.
What you'll do
- Handle inbound enquiries from creators, founders, personal brands and companies, and turn a first message into a meeting
- Go out and find the people and organisations who should have a show, and get the first conversation
- Run discovery properly: ask, listen, and work out what the client needs to say and who needs to hear it
- Find the creative angle. Turn what you heard into a show idea, a series format or a hook, with our producers and creative team
- Write and present proposals that tell a story, then scope and price them within our framework
- Negotiate, close and hand over cleanly to production
- Stay close to your clients after the close: the next season, the clips, the event, the series that follows
- Build partnerships with agencies, PR firms and event organisers who can bring us work
- Represent PodcastHub at events and industry gatherings, and follow up fast
- Own a revenue target
Who you are (this matters more than your CV)
- Curious. You read a company's last ten posts before the meeting and arrive with a question nobody has asked them.
- A people person. You remember names, you listen more than you talk, and people are glad when you call.
- A storyteller. You can explain an idea in one sentence and make the room lean in.
- Creative. You see a show where others see a press release.
- Resilient. Long cycles and polite no's don't slow you down.
- Easy to work with. Producers, editors and clients all want you in the room.
What you bring
- 2 to 4 years in business development, ideally with an agency or a media, content, events or production company
- A record of selling a tailored service to marketing or communications teams, creators or founders
- Excellent spoken and written English. Arabic is a strong plus
- Confidence with proposals and presentations
- Preferred: a network in the UAE and a UAE driving licence
