Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. seeks an experienced driver to safely transport staff, patients and visitors in Abu Dhabi.

You will support patient directions, maintain a professional demeanor, and work the schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required by the department head. The role requires a valid UAE driving license, at least three years of driving experience and an average to good command of English; Arabic is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School
• Valid UAE driving license
• Three or more years driving experience
• Average command of oral and written English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and transport staff, patients, and visitors.
• Assist patients and visitors with directions and inquiries as needed.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with patients, visitors, coworkers, and clients.
• Work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays according to the head of department’s schedule.
• Adhere to organization regulations and policies, especially infection control, patient safety, EHSMS, HAAD, JCI and ISO.
• Support Continuous Quality Improvement and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Participate in scheduled in-service training, in-house activities and other training programs.
• Exercise effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and management.
• Maintain confidentiality as per signed agreement.
• Demonstrate ability to listen to others to promote effective communication.
• Understand hospital policies and procedures and respect them.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the Head of department.
• Comply with OSH and infection control policies and cooperate to meet requirements.
• Work according to documented OSH procedures and instructions.
• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Notify OSH hazards, incidents, near misses and assist with risk assessments.
• Comply with waste management policies.
• Attend applicable OSH infection control training, drills and awareness programs.
• Use of appropriate PPE and safety systems.
• Read numbers and street signs in English and Arabic.
