Job summary

NMC Healthcare is seeking a Specialist General Surgeon (Breast Surgeon) to provide comprehensive surgical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings in Dubai, UAE. The incumbent will handle a broad range of cases, including emergencies, with responsibilities spanning pre- and post-operative care and clinical leadership.

The role requires current DHA licensure to practice general surgery in Dubai, excellent English communication, and a strong commitment to patient safety and standards of care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved medical school with internship and residency completed.
• Board certification by the American Board of Surgical Medicine or membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (or equivalent).
• At least three years of experience in general surgery.
• Current DHA license to practice general surgery in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Performs management functions and duties of a general surgeon for ambulatory and hospitalized patients, including pre- and postoperative care.
• Provides consultations to other staff and specialists as required.
• Attends emergencies, conducts operations, and manages postoperative care as per clinical privileges.
• Orders diagnostic tests and imaging, determines diagnoses, and prescribes therapy.
• Participates in hospital committees, quality assurance activities, and after-hours coverage.
