Position Objective
The role is responsible for developing and implementing the brand strategy to maximize sales and profitability. It will also support brand penetration and positioning across the region, helping establish a consistent and commercially effective brand image in the market.
Brand Growth and Profitability
- Maximize sales and profitability across brand stores in line with company targets.
- Develop brand launch strategies in consultation with the Brand General Manager.
- Control costs within established budget guidelines for brand stores.
- Improve store productivity through effective deployment of resources and support sell-through against product, style, and assortment plans.
- Review feedback from territories regarding brand acceptance and customer expectations.
- Ensure performance remains aligned with the financial plan across sales, markdowns, margins, and average inventory.
- Develop brand positioning in coordination with the Marketing team, Brand Principal, and Brand General Manager.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of team members.
Merchandise Planning and Product Selection
- Assess merchandise requirements for the assigned brand using actual sales, forecasts, company ordering parameters, inventory levels, upcoming events, and replenishment needs.
- Develop merchandise plans covering pricing, promotions, assortment, and stock availability.
- Determine buying requirements and prepare buying plans and budgets.
- Coordinate product selection based on buying requirements and available product research.
- Manage in-season performance across territories through stock balancing, markdown management, inventory analysis, and stock-versus-sales reviews.
Brand Image and Visual Merchandising
- Support awareness and positioning of Club Apparel.
- Coordinate with Retail Operations to gather feedback on retail and brand performance.
- Develop the visual merchandising strategy for stores and ensure consistent implementation.
Market and Competition Research
- Gather market intelligence from relevant sources and assess trends that may affect business performance.
- Evaluate brand acceptance within existing and potential new territories.
- Identify potential brand customization requirements based on regional market needs.
- Monitor competitor pricing and products and provide qualitative commercial insights.
- Research potential locations for new brand outlets and discuss opportunities with the Operations Manager and General Manager.
- Track emerging trends across products, brands, styles, designs, and fits.
Projects and Store Expansion
- Evaluate prospective store sites based on trade area, customer base, merchandising requirements, and other relevant commercial considerations.
- Coordinate new store openings and refits with Operations and project teams.
- Ensure proposed outlet locations support the brand 's strategy and market positioning.
- Maintain alignment with approved store-opening plans and implementation schedules.
