Role Description

The BMS Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role involves monitoring and operating Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance of HVAC, lighting, energy, security, and other building services. The BMS Operator will respond to alarms and system notifications, perform routine checks, and coordinate with maintenance and facility teams to address faults and implement corrective actions. Responsibilities include adjusting system parameters, documenting events and interventions, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and assisting in system optimization to enhance energy efficiency and occupant comfort. The role also requires collaborating with project, engineering, and facility management stakeholders to maintain smooth building operations and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Building Management, Building Management Systems, and related Management Systems, with the ability to monitor, operate, and optimize integrated building controls.
• Experience in Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM), including coordination with maintenance teams and support for preventive and corrective activities.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with BMS platforms (e.g., HVAC controls, energy management, lighting control systems) in commercial or mixed-use facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and system documentation, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards, with a commitment to safe work practices and compliance with local regulations.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in shifts or extended hours when required.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and service providers.
