Job summary

Litco Industries is actively seeking a skilled BIM Modeller to develop accurate 3D BIM models for structural steel projects using Revit. The role focuses on detailing, shop drawings, and coordination across design, fabrication, and site teams in the UAE ecosystem.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong Revit-based modelling, experience in steel fabrication and erection, and a track record of delivering fabrication-ready drawings within project schedules. UAE/GCC exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in BIM modelling for structural steel.
• Strong hands-on Revit-based modelling and detailing experience.
• Experience in steel fabrication, erection, and metalwork projects preferred.
• Proficient in Navisworks or similar clash-detection tools.
• Ability to read structural/architectural/ IFC and shop drawings.
• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct BIM clash detection and resolve issues with engineering teams.
• Update drawings per approved changes and RFIs.

About the Company

Litco Industries is a specialist subcontractor in structural steel fabrication, steel erection, metal works, aluminium works, and architectural metalwork, delivering projects across the UAE and GCC region. We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeller / Structural BIM Modeller with strong experience in Revit, steel structures, structural modelling, metal fabrication, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models for structural steel, steel structures, and metal works using project drawings, IFC drawings, design drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.

• Prepare detailed BIM models, 3D models, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and erection/installation drawings for structural steel and metalwork projects using Revit.

• Perform structural steel modelling and detailing, including beams, columns, bracings, plates, connections, bolts, welds, stairs, ladders, platforms, handrails, canopies, supports, and other steel and metal components.

• Use Revit to create accurate and detailed BIM models suitable for project coordination, shop drawing development, fabrication, and construction requirements.

• Review structural and architectural drawings to identify discrepancies, design conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues before fabrication or installation.

• Coordinate BIM models and shop drawings with engineers, project teams, fabrication teams, site teams, consultants, and other disciplines.

• Carry out BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit, Navisworks, or other relevant coordination tools, and resolve modelling and coordination issues in consultation with the relevant engineering teams.

• Prepare and update steel fabrication drawings and shop drawings based on approved design changes, RFIs, consultant comments, site requirements, and revised IFC drawings.

• Develop accurate GA drawings, assembly/detail drawings, fabrication details, and erection/installation drawings from the BIM model.

• Ensure all structural steel and metalwork models are prepared in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, design requirements, fabrication standards, and client/consultant requirements.

• Extract material quantities, material take-offs, material schedules, member schedules, and other model-based data required for fabrication, procurement, estimation, and project execution.

• Coordinate with the Design, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Planning, Procurement, Fabrication, and Site teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Incorporate approved design revisions, variations, RFIs, site measurements, and as-built information into BIM models and drawings.

• Maintain accurate model revisions, drawing registers, and document control throughout the project.

• Provide technical support to fabrication and erection teams by clarifying BIM models, steel shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation requirements.

• Ensure models and drawings are completed accurately and submitted within project schedules and deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a BIM Modeller, BIM Modeler, Structural BIM Modeller, Structural BIM Modeler, BIM Engineer, Structural BIM Engineer, Revit Modeller, Revit Modeler, Structural Revit Modeller, Steel BIM Modeller, Steel BIM Modeler, Steel Detailer, or Structural Steel Detailer.

• Strong hands-on experience in Revit-based BIM modelling and structural steel modelling/detailing is essential.

• Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel erection, metal fabrication, and construction projects is highly preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Revit, particularly for structural modelling, BIM coordination, detailing, and drawing development.

• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or other BIM software will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of structural steel members, steel connections, plates, bolts, welds, assemblies, fabrication details, and erection/installation requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, IFC drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, BOQ, and project specifications.

• Experience in preparing steel shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly/detail drawings, erection/installation drawings, and detailed 3D Revit models.

• Knowledge of BIM coordination, clash detection, model coordination, drawing revisions, and document control.

• Experience with metal works, architectural metalwork, stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, canopies, supports, aluminium works, or façade-related metalwork will be an advantage.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with structural engineers, design engineers, project engineers, consultants, fabricators, detailers, and site teams.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and fabrication-ready BIM models and drawings.

• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and meet strict project deadlines and drawing submission schedules.

• UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
