Job summary

HDR Dubai seeks a Digital Design Specialist (Mechanical/Electrical) to deliver high-quality BIM solutions. You will develop, coordinate, and maintain discipline models and documentation while aligning with project objectives and digital delivery standards.

You will work closely with engineers, architects and project teams, handling modeling methodologies, clash detection, and content libraries, while mentoring juniors and sharing knowledge across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
• Typically 4–8 years BIM/digital design experience.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and BIM software for mechanical/electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, digital delivery processes, and model management.
• Experience with clash detection and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Good communicator with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mechanical and electrical BIM models per LOD and DDP.
• Produce accurate 3D models, drawings, layouts, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure model integration.
• Support clash detection and model reviews across disciplines.
• Ensure BIM content complies with project standards and delivery practices.
• Maintain modeling methodologies, templates, and content libraries.
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Verify model accuracy and data integrity throughout delivery.
• Support BIM standards implementation across projects.
• Assist in project deliverables and adherence to client requirements.
• Collaborate to improve efficiency with digital tools and workflows.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Communicate progress and issues with stakeholders.
