Job summary

WSP in Abu Dhabi is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our Site Supervision team on a major Transport Infrastructure and Utilities project. The role focuses on coordinating BIM activities during the construction phase to ensure alignment between design models, site execution, and project requirements.

Based at the project site office, the successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, site supervision teams, contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years BIM coordination experience on construction-phase projects.
• Experience with Engineering Consultants in a Site Supervision/Construction Supervision environment.
• Experience on Transport Infrastructure, Roads, Highways, Utilities, Rail, Metro, Airport, or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM implementation and model management during the construction phase of the project.
• Review and monitor contractor BIM submissions for compliance with project requirements and BIM Execution Plans.
• Support site supervision teams in resolving model‑related construction and coordination issues.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination between civil, utilities, roads, transportation, and associated infrastructure disciplines.
• Conduct clash detection reviews and track resolution of design and construction coordination issues.
• Ensure consistency between approved design information, construction models, and site execution.
• Monitor and validate as‑built BIM deliverables and record model updates throughout construction.
• Prepare BIM coordination reports, dashboards, and progress updates for project management.
• Participate in coordination meetings with contractors, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Support digital project delivery initiatives and maintain project BIM standards and workflows.
• Coordinate model‑based reviews for utilities, roads, drainage, ITS, structures, and transportation infrastructure elements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating BIM activities during the construction phase, ensuring alignment between design models, site execution, and project requirements.

This role is based at the project site office and requires close collaboration with the Engineer, site supervision teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working for engineering consultants in site supervision roles on transport infrastructure and utilities projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with Engineering Consultants in a Site Supervision/Construction Supervision environment.
• Demonstrated experience on Transport Infrastructure, Roads, Highways, Utilities, Rail, Metro, Airport, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Navisworks Manage
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360
  • Civil 3D (preferred)
• Understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and as‑built documentation processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with site supervision teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects within the UAE or GCC.
• Previous involvement in transportation corridors, roads, utilities, drainage, water, wastewater, rail, metro, or airport developments.
• Experience coordinating contractor BIM deliverables during construction supervision assignments.
